Details of 1911 Proprietor Nee Burberry, born c.1857 Chessington. Widow of John Pepper (1850-95) – married 1879.

The Peppers had been at The Green Man for many years, with Sarah taking over when her husband died, assisted by son John. Before taking over the pub John Senior had been a valet in Kingston.

Children – John Edward (1880-1936), Beatrice Sarah (1882), Annie Eliza (c.1886, married John Edward Hooker), Lily Florence (c.1889-1974?).
