The Epsom and Ewell History Explorer (EEHE) was set up and is run by volunteers. Many, but not all, of our volunteers are also volunteers with the Epsom and Ewell Local and Family History Centre. We naturally work closely with the History Centre and they have made available many of their family history records.
This site brings together articles covering the local history of the area. The articles may have been inspired by many things including specific suggestions, memories, printed works and of course the internet.
We welcome suggestions as to additional local topics to include, particularly if you already have a draft text – although we need to say that EEHE reserves the right to exercise full editorial control over the content of the site. Please contact us and we will get back to you about means of transferring material to us. Ideally, that would be electronically. Failing that, we can scan physical items with the promise to return them as quickly as possible.
This is a non-commercial & not for profit site, independent of any political affiliation and is intended for educational purposes. Every effort has been made to ensure that we have obtained permission from the copyright holder to publish the items on this site. We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement and remove copyright protected artworks, or block them for users from countries where infringement is alerted. Further reproduction of the material should not be undertaken without consulting EEHE, which can be done through our contact page.
We hope that you enjoy this free to use and independent web site. The research on this website is put together by volunteers. The best way to support eehe is to support the volunteers, so if you would like to make a donation then please use the button below. This will enable the volunteers to continue their research into local history and transcribing further family history records which will appear on this website.
