| Details of building, where known | By 1911 the fire engine was a horse-drawn affair, housed behind gates at Number 36. As was common in those days the firemen were local volunteers and the horses were borrowed as and when needed. Above the ‘fire station’ (this was little more than a yard by all accounts) was the Parish Council office where meetings were held.
