Managers of the London & Provincial came and went but it seems that Mr Masters lived over the shop for some years as the resident clerk in charge and then became the manager. He was born c.1872 in Dartford, Kent; his brother Harold, also a bank clerk, was in residence in 1911. Thomas married in 1902 Eveline Miriam A Phillips (1874-1939). Died 22 September 1947, then living at 20 Longdown Lane, Ewell. Child – Thomas George (born 1904, bank official). ![]() Thomas George Masters in 1928 Image courtesy of Bourne Hall Museum. |
