We believe that the firm Roberts & Leete Ltd was closely connected with Alfred Ambrose Chew Leete (1882–1933) the graphic artist, who drew the image later used for the famous recruiting poster of Lord Kitchener with his out stretched arm pointing – Britons [Kitchener] wants you: join your country’s army!

Leete drew many other images used for recruitment during WW1 that were printed by Roberts & Leete Ltd and other printers.
