Occupiers in 1911 Mrs Clara Small
Miss Louisa Bradshaw

Drapers
Details of 1911 Proprietor Mrs Small and Miss Bradshaw were sisters. Clara, born c.1854 Tollington Park (Islington), Middlesex, married 1882 John Edward Small (not at home).

Louisa Bradshaw born c.1874, unmarried; died 24 September 1955, then living Romford.

These ladies have proved difficult to track, owing to significant fibs about their ages on the 1911 census form, but they were the daughters of customs officer Mayfield Bradshaw.

Louisa was at this address in 1901, listed as partner, but there is no sign of Clara and I have been unable to find her in 1891 and 1901. To confuse matters further the Epsom Rate Book of 1900 shows the occupiers as Elizabeth and Louise Bradshaw, which may well be correct as another sister, Elizabeth, was also a draper and milliner, although she was in Tottenham from 1901 until 1911.
