| Details of 1911 Proprietor | Born 1846 Marylebone (nee Sanders); married 1868 Joseph Thomas Rodgers (carriage trimmer, died 1900, buried Epsom Cemetery).
Children – Annie Emma c 1871 Merthyr Tydfil-1950, milliner, unmarried; Thomas Joseph 1873 Cardiff-1956 , tobacco pipe maker/wood turner, married Irene Paddock; Alfred John born 1875 Epsom, carpenter and joiner, married Amy Stovell; Edith Emily 1877-1951 Epsom, milliner, unmarried. When her husband was alive Mrs Rodgers lived at 93 High Street, which may or may not have been a shop, but she was then described as a fancy draper. In 1911 Annie and Edith were with her, assisting in the business and they later lived together in Albert Road until their deaths. Died 25 October 1919, still at 1 Grand Parade. |
