| Details of 1911 Proprietor | Born c.1857 Bexley, Kent (nee Brown). Birthplace was probably North Cray, Kent in 1855 (her age is inconsistent in censuses).
Died 8 Aug 1944 Andover, but then living in Ashley Road. In 1901 the hotel was run by Henry Coleman Keeble born c.1844, then a widower (previous wife was Mary Ann Arnell who died in 1894); he married Lucy in 1902. Formerly a farrier and in 1891 a ‘veterinary surgeon’ in Leatherhead (although I query whether he was formally qualified). Died 6 Sep 1904. One of Henry’s children, Mary Elizabeth (died 1956, still living Epsom) was with Lucy in 1911. |
