Nee Thorndell; born c.1846 Wootton, Surrey; married 1870 George Skelton (1845 Leatherhead-1902 Epsom). Children (all born Epsom) – Harry (1871-1959, then of 44 South Street), married Isabel Agnes Foster (died 1911) and Annie Rhodes (died 1965); Frank (c.1873-1957, then of 42 College Road), married Annie Edith Williamson; George (1879-1923, still of South Street); Fred (1882-1957, then of 42 College Road), married Hannah Sayle; Walter (1888-killed in action 1917) emigrated to Castlereagh, New South Wales, married Matilda Shaw. Most of the boys were builders. Died 31 March 1920, still in South Street. |
