Details of 1911 Proprietor As you will guess, Mrs Skelton was not personally the builder but she presumably took over the running of her late husband’s business, with her sons doing the actual building.

Children (all born Epsom) – Harry (1871-1959, then of 44 South Street), married Isabel Agnes Foster (died 1911) and Annie Rhodes (died 1965); Frank (c.1873-1957, then of 42 College Road), married Annie Edith Williamson; George (1879-1923, still of South Street); Fred (1882-1957, then of 42 College Road), married Hannah Sayle; Walter (1888-killed in action 1917) emigrated to Castlereagh, New South Wales, married Matilda Shaw.

Most of the boys were builders.
