The London County and Westminster Bank was formed from mergers of other banks and eventually was merged into NatWest. Mr Oram was also in charge of the Ewell branch, but this opened only on Tuesdays and Fridays. He lived in Waterloo Road, Epsom.

Born 1861 South Molton, Devon, son of a wine and spirit merchant cum grocer. By the age of 19 he was a bank clerk in Greenwich and by 1901 he was a bank inspector, living in Lewisham. He married farmer’s daughter Mary Jeffery Howland (1863-1932) in 1890.

Children – Philip Adrian (born c.1893, married Nora Ridd) learned farming at Whitemoor Farm in Bishops Tawton, Devon (1911 census) and evidently remained there, for that was still his address when he died in1951. Mary Muriel (1898-1958) married cable engineer William Edmund Brian Barclay and lived at Burgh Heath.

Died 14 December 1933, then living at 2 Temple Road.
