The shop was originally run by Sarah’s father, William, who died in 1901; Sarah’s brother, Frank Worsley, then took over but lived at ‘Worsley’, The Parade.

Sarah was born in 1855 in Epsom and died unmarried on 24 December 1931, then living in Thornton Heath. In 1911 another pharmacist, Arthur Finnis Attwell, was lodging at Number 127.

Frank Worsley Harsant (born c.1852 Epsom) married in 1895 Rose Wood, daughter of local draper Maria Willis Wood. He died on 24 May 1936 and Rose on 9 September 1959, still living at ‘Worsley’. There were no children.

The shop, built in the 18th century, later became Harsant & Lee (Lee being Frank Arnold Lee, born 1897 Thornton Heath, son of Frank Worsley’s sister, Mary Jane). Its appearance has not changed a great deal over the last century or so.
