In 1911 Miss Brabazon was living with her three unmarried sisters (all born Epsom) – Sarah Jane (1880-1933, unmarried); Clarissa Edith (1882-1970, unmarried) and Ethel May (1887, married John A L Moore). Their parents were bootmaker Walter Patrick Brabazon (c.1838 Ireland-1894) and Sarah (nee Bird, c.1844-1901). The other children were Walter (c.1861-1919), William (1864, married Lillie Mascetti Horton) and Caroline (c.1868, married Alfred Herbert Clarke) and it looks as if several others had died in infancy. All of those born before 1872 were the children of Mr Brabazon’s first wife, Annie, who died in that year. Mr Brabazon had been a bootmaker in Epsom since the mid-1870s and in his early 20s was a ‘schoolroom man’ at Epsom College (his younger brother, John, also worked there). After Mr Brabazon died in 1894 his widow carried on, running a boot warehouse at the Church Street premises until she died in 1901.
