| Details of 1911 Proprietor | Mr Wood was the brother-in-law (twice over) of local draper Maria Willis Wood, who died in 1910 – she had previously run the large shop next door at Number 115 (subsequently Mr Reid’s). Mr Wood’s details are here. In 1911 he lived at Yew Cottage in Avenue Road, where he died on 3 July 1913, and his shop later became part of Herbert Leigh Reid’s department store. |
