Born 1870 Epsom; daughter of local ironmonger Charles Cragg. She was the sister of Mary Jane Daniell, who ran the newsagents’ shop at 27 High Street and in 1901 was living at Number 27, doing home dress-making. Mrs Daniell had the shop at Number 113 before Miss Cragg. Died Leatherhead 7 September 1953, but living at 90 Upper High Street, Epsom; unmarried. Gertrude Emma Lewis Born 1875 Petworth, Sussex; Miss Lewis had a background in the drapery business, since her father had been a draper in Petworth; she was a cousin of Miss Cragg. Died 19 July 1943, still living at Number 113. |
