Ewell Castle School was founded by in 1926 by Herbert Rosslyn Budgell who, after a somewhat nomadic career in education, acquired Ewell Castle for this purpose.
After WW2, a plaque was put up to commemorate the school’s 24 Old Boys who lost their lives during the war.

For almost all of these, attendance at the School was their only connection with the Borough. However, three of them were more local, and clicking on their names – as listed below – will lead to more details about the individual.
