Mrs Lewis’s younger brother, Dr Frederick James Karn, was a professor of music, noted organist and conductor and principal of the London College of Music (died 1940). Originally a coach painter, but had been an ironmonger in Epsom for at least 30 years up to 1911. Died 20 May 1918, still living at 89 East Street (‘The Nook’). |
