| Details of 1911 Proprietor | A J Weston was Arthur John, who died in 1896 (his father, William Cowle Weston, had a drapery business in the High Street at one time). In 1901 Mrs Rose Weston and her daughter Dora were running a small school at home in Ashley Road (later in Station Road) and the children were still at school. As for the identity of the person who was running the business in 1911, I’m afraid I don’t know, but it was still a going concern then (no one lived at the premises in either 1901 or 1911).
