| Details of 1911 Proprietors | I think that Mrs Miles was the toy dealer at this point but Gerrard is the one who gets his name in the trade directory. At the 1911 census he described himself as a fruiterer’s assistant and later on he was described as being a fruiterer at this address. He was one of the sons of local market gardener and fruiterer, Thomas Miles.
Gerrard was born in Epsom c.1858; married 1889 Mary Ann Coombes (1855-1923?) No children. Died 18 March 1941, then living at 38 The Parade. |
